How can we strengthen the body's defenses?

How many times have we experienced anxiety when a member of our family or extended circle at school and in the community has contracted a seasonal virus?

We almost think about it in near panic and always try to do everything in our power to avoid catching it!

How can we strengthen the body's defenses?

  1. Eating right - Nutrition for young and old It is very important at such times to help our body with the right foods and vitamins to develop a natural defense against the viruses that are going around. We include in our daily diet fruits and vegetables, various hot broths and soups, vitamins and dairy products such as yoghurt.
  2. We sleep early and with a consistent sleep schedule. A good and stable sleep strengthens our metabolism and immune system while improving our psychology (especially for young children)!
  3. Drink a lot of water - put it in our schedule. This helps our body stay hydrated and keeps our body clear of various bacteria and viruses.
  4. We strictly adhere to personal hygiene rules, both for our children and for us as parents. We wash our hands as often as we can, always using soap and warm water. We clean surfaces with wet disinfectant wipes. We regularly clean the common areas where we spend most of our time with our family.
  5. Air, air, air! We refresh the air as often as possible in our rooms and throughout the house. Especially when we have a sick family member, we need to refresh the air in our indoor spaces at least 3 times a day. Viruses love heat and humidity. Ideal tactics against them are to ventilate our rooms for 30 minutes to 1 hour a day. A dehumidifier helps immensely in keeping our rooms at balanced humidity levels even in the most extreme conditions.
  6. Avoid the frequent use of antibiotics and antiviral without a doctor administering them. They are not part of the treatment approach to fibrosis, especially in simple and minimally symptomatic cases. They can of course be administered in more severe cases with severe symptoms, fever and weakness of movement and speech.
